The First Virginia Facebook Page
The group maintains a page on the "social network" website, Facebook. Members are encouraged to join Facebook so that they can participate in posting photos from First Virginia events, exchanging news and comments, and generally staying in touch with other members. The site will also be used to post event information, and other "official" notices.

1st VA Regiment Yahoo Group
This is a "message board" for use of the members of the unit. Only members of the unit can participate and you'll find a form for joining at the web address. Participants regularly share questions, comments, and information about - or of interest to - the First Virginia.

1st VA Distaff Yahoo Group
Much like the 1 Virga Regt website, this is a "message board" for use of the members of the unit. Topics of discussion are generally focused on aspects relating to camp, meal preparation at events, and matters related to our "distaff" (campfollowers). Only members of the unit can participate and you'll find a form for joining at the web address.

The Continental Line Web Site
The Continental Line, Inc., established in 1987 is a nonprofit educational organization of recreated Revolutionary War reenactment units representing the Continental Army, the various colonial militias, the Continental Navy, the Continental Marines, and units in the service of the French King. Member units, including the First Virginia are located from South Carolina to New Hampshire.

The British Brigade Web Site

The British Brigade, Inc is the counterpart to the Continental Line and consists of British, Hessian, and American Loyalist units collectively known as the Crown Forces. The Brigade often attends events along with the Continental Line.

2d Virginia Regiment
Recreated by a group of dedicated historians with a love of history who which to represent the life and times of the common Continental soldier as accurately as possible. The 2d recreates the entire Revolutionary War scene for members of the public through encampments and battlefield reenactments.

1st Maryland Regt.
An 18th Century living history organization dedicated to educating the public & ourselves of the life and times of the Continental Soldier and those around them. We do this through research, demonstrations, and leading the same lifestyle at living history events.

The links page of revwar.com provides information and links to web sites about the American Revolutionary War era. Links include other reenactment units, as well as a good list of sutler and supplier links.

RevList
RevList is an active message board with topics ranging from military battles, life in camp, material culture of the times, weapons, the social order of colonial America, and subjects specifically relating to reenactors.

Valley Forge Roster - National Park Service 
This site provides the only known, free to the public, automated database of all of the soldiers who served at the Valley Forge Encampment.    (Link fixed March, 2006)

Company of Military Historians 
The Company of Military Historians was founded in 1949 as an educational, scientific, and literary institution devoted to the study and dissemination of information on the uniforms, equipment, history, and traditions of members of the Armed Forces of the United States worldwide and other nations serving in the Western Hemisphere.
